About the Role

As a Heavy Equipment Operator at MasTec Inc., you will play a critical role in supporting all phases of utility construction for various types of telecom projects. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for individuals who believe in doing the job right and being the best.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate light construction equipment, including backhoes, cable plows, trenchers, hydraulic reel trailers, and other types of machinery, ensuring maintenance is performed as required.
  • Troubleshoot problems as they arise in the field, utilizing your technical skills and knowledge to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Read and understand utility locates and above-ground utility indicators to ensure the safety of the crew and maintain a high level of productivity.
Requirements
  • A Class A CDL is required for this position.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment on a construction site is essential.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to work are necessary for success in this role.
