About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class A CDL Underground Laborer to join our team at MasTec Communications Group. As a key member of our utility construction team, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining aerial and underground cable systems.

Responsibilities
  • Perform manual tasks such as digging trenches, unloading building materials, and preparing job sites using hand tools like shovels, rakes, and picks.
  • Work in outdoor utility construction sites, transporting heavy equipment to and from the job site each day.
  • Build and maintain aerial and underground cable systems, troubleshooting problems as they arise in the field.
  • Learn and train to use various kinds of tools and equipment, including directional drilling and fiber splicing.
Requirements
  • A valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
  • Experience in utility construction, telecom construction, or a related field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment, with a focus on safety and quality.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn new tools and equipment.
