Job Title: MRI Technologist

Radiology Associates of Ocala is seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for operating MRI scanners, performing complex imaging procedures, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate MRI scanners and related equipment to produce high-quality images
  • Perform complex imaging procedures, including MRI scans, and ensure patient safety and comfort
  • Screen patients for MRI safety and ensure proper protocols are followed
  • Prepare and dispense oral and intravenous contrast media as needed
  • Ensure equipment is in working order and perform weekly ACR QA
  • Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality and accuracy
  • Process related paperwork and maintain accurate records
  • Provide education and training to new MRI technologists and student technologists
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology
  • Minimum of two years' experience in radiologic imaging modalities
  • ARRT certification in Radiography (RT(R)) or Nuclear Medicine (RT(N))
  • Current ARRT certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) preferred
  • BLS Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with 3T and 1.5 Tesla imaging
  • Knowledge of MRI safety and protection requirements
  • Ability to work in a cooperative nature within and outside the department
