Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Medical Specialist to join our team at Amphibious Medics. As a key member of our health and safety team, you will be responsible for providing medical support on large scale construction sites.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $90,000 per year

About the Job

This is a full-time position that requires one year of full-time experience in 911 emergency medical response. You will work independently with limited supervision, closely collaborating with construction site health and safety management teams to provide a safe work environment for construction site workers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide triage, first aid, and/or referrals to outside medical providers as needed
  • Ability to remain calm, react quickly, and make sound decisions in emergency situations
  • Maintain accurate medical records and databases
  • Manage on-site inventory supplies, restock equipment, and maintain a clean treatment area
  • Communicate effectively with outside medical providers and provide direct follow-up care to employees
  • Provide daily activity logs to the safety team and management
  • Frequent site walks to interact with workers and managers

Requirements

  • Valid National Registry or State EMT-B Certification
  • CPR certification at the Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider level (American Heart Association) or Professional Rescuer (American Red Cross)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 35 lbs
  • Ability to walk and/or stand a minimum of five hours in a work day

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with OSHA regulations, specifically in 29 CFR 1910
  • Experience working on large scale construction sites
  • Experience with workers' compensation claim process
  • Instructor certification for First-Aid, CPR, and AED training
