Job Overview

The Production Associate plays a vital role in assisting the production team with the transformation of steel billets into completed components within a continuous production setting. This position is crucial in upholding quality benchmarks throughout the manufacturing process. The associate is responsible for adhering to safety protocols and standard operating procedures to ensure that production runs smoothly and securely.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and ensure the proper operation of equipment;
  • Support the initiation and preheating of furnaces while monitoring temperature levels;
  • Load steel billets and ensure the correct feeding of billets into the induction furnace;
  • Assist the team by performing duties as a spray operator during the forging process;
  • Gather tools, fixtures, and dies, and manage materials necessary for production;
  • Report any process-related issues to the operator or supervisory staff;
  • Complete all required training promptly;
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Preferred minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment;
  • Capability to lift and move equipment and materials weighing up to 80 pounds on occasion;
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and collaborate within a team setting;
  • Frequent climbing and descending of stairs and working on platforms;
  • Ability to operate hand tools as necessary;

Compensation: $19.24 per hour
