Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeping Aide to join our team at Apple Rehab Farmington Valley. As a Housekeeping Aide, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and disinfect resident rooms and bathrooms, as well as common areas, to meet high standards of cleanliness and infection control.
  • Use cleaning equipment and supplies efficiently and effectively to complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Assist in maintaining adequate supplies and equipment in the housekeeping department.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Report any maintenance or repair issues to the facilities team.

Requirements

  • Ability to read labels and follow oral and written instructions in English.
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and take appropriate action.
  • Ability to visually assess all aspects of the facility.
  • Ability to distinguish smells and temperatures and hear and respond to pages.
  • Ability to walk, reach, bend, lift, grasp, pull, stretch, stoop, and have fine hand coordination.
  • Ability to lift and move furniture and heavy items weighing approximately 40 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care facility.
