This is a supervisory position responsible for assisting in the coordination and supervision of part-time staff and related tasks. The successful candidate will serve as primary back-up in the absence of the Facility Director, including sharing on-call responsibilities when necessary.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the coordination and supervision of part-time staff and related tasks.
- Provide primary back-up support in the absence of the Facility Director, including sharing on-call responsibilities.
- Assist with grounds-related work such as snow shoveling, leaf blowing, and grounds cleanup.
- Coordinate with the Facility Director to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve maintenance-related issues and concerns.
- Provide program area set-ups and breakdowns for all facilities and grounds.
- Responsible for material handling and inventory.
- Assist with the performance of preventive maintenance and repairs in facility and associated equipment.
- Follow all Association and departmental safety procedures and resolve staff and member safety issues.
- Monitor cleanliness and aesthetics of campus grounds and equipment.
- Ability to work independently and lead by example.
- Ensure a safe, clean environment for staff and customers.
- Provide friendly, courteous assistance and maintain healthy professional relationships.
- Responsible for emergency spill and Blood Borne Pathogen clean-up.
- Maintain education/knowledge to ensure facility compliance with current city, state, and local safety, maintenance, and custodial requirements.
- Attention to detail and ability to demonstrate this approach in day-to-day responsibilities.
- Ability to adapt to new processes and procedures.
- Valid CT Driver's License and transportation.
- CPR/First aid certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
- Prior commercial housekeeping experience and ability to demonstrate such skills.
- Prior subordinate supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience in basic carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, and preventative maintenance.
- Ability to work with products related to housekeeping, maintenance, and grounds.
- Willingness to share on-call duties and work off shifts occasionally if needed.
