We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at ClearSky Health. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care to patients within assigned unit, utilizing the nursing process to ensure quality and efficient care.
- Contribute to the development, maintenance, and update of individualized patient plans of care, ensuring that patient needs are met and exceeded.
- Implement identified plans of care in accordance with current professional standards and practices, and in accordance with patient needs.
- Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
- Identify patient and family learning needs, and teach patients and families using effective teaching methods and documents accordingly.
- Complete all documentation in a timely manner, maintaining patient clinical records and reports in accordance with Hospital policy and established standards.
- Coordinate and delegate care and treatments with the interdisciplinary team, providing timely and adequate supervision to LPNs/LVNs and Nursing Aides/Techs.
- Perform supervisory Charge Nurse responsibilities as assigned, ensuring that patient care is delivered in a safe and effective manner.
- Provide timely assistance with urgent and emergency situations, such as Code Blue and Rapid Response.
- Help identify problems and potential risks, and contribute to corrective action plans, ensuring that patient care is delivered in a safe and effective manner.
- May be required to work during inclement weather and other staffing emergencies, ensuring that patient care is delivered in a safe and effective manner.
- Provide an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and staff, assessing the risks for safety and implementing appropriate precautions.
- Maintain regular attendance in keeping with assigned work schedule, ensuring that patient care is delivered in a safe and effective manner.
- Successful completion of accredited Registered Nursing program required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree preferred.
- One (1) year recent experience preferred, with acute care setting preferred.
- Current state license as a Registered Nurse required.
- Current CPR Certification required.
- CRRN certification preferred.
- ACLS certification preferred in Texas hospitals, required if in Charge Nurse role.
- A significant amount of standing, walking, bending, lifting, reaching, pushing, and pulling, often for prolonged periods of time.
- Both gross and precise motor functions.
- Lifting/exerting of up to 50 lbs.
- Possible exposure to bodily fluids.
- Visual acuity required for patient assessment and documentation of care.
- Acute hearing required for accurate patient assessment.
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and reaching.
- Sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment and computer keyboard.
