Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Specialist 2 to join our team at the State of Alaska. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining databases to support our agency's operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure database management systems and related software
  • Design and implement databases to meet business requirements
  • Maintain database performance and security
  • Analyze problems and provide technical consultation to agencies
  • Develop operational guidelines and generate reports and interfaces

Requirements:

  • One year of experience in database management systems at a level equivalent to a Database Specialist 1 for the State of Alaska
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of computer languages and technical documentation
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide technical consultation to agencies
