The Nurse Specialist will provide high-quality patient care, demonstrating advanced knowledge and skills in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver care based on individual patient needs, considering physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety, and learning factors.
- Rotate through various service areas, performing duties for which competency has been demonstrated.
- Perform delegated duties within the scope of practice, adhering to the hospital's philosophy and plan of care delivery.
- Current Registered Nurse License (any state), Alaska Registered Nurse License required within six months of hire.
- Current BLS Certification, NRP Certification, and ACLS Certification required within six months of hire.
- PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications preferred.
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred.
- Three to five years of Labor and Delivery and Postpartum experience preferred.
Under the supervision of the Acute Care Manager or designee, with a minimum of 2-4 days of formal nursing department orientation during the first two weeks of employment.
