Position: Janitor (2nd Shift)Department: Maintenance
Location: Building/Machine Shop
Role Summary:The selected candidate will be tasked with maintaining cleanliness and orderliness within the facilities. Responsibilities include performing extensive cleaning duties such as floor maintenance, carpet cleaning, wall washing, and waste disposal. Additional responsibilities may involve routine maintenance tasks and reporting repair needs to management.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain building floors through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
- Collect and dispose of trash efficiently.
- Service, clean, and stock restrooms.
- Polish furniture and fixtures to maintain a professional appearance.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaning solutions.
- Dust and sanitize furniture, walls, machinery, and equipment.
- Operate vehicles necessary for cleaning tasks, including industrial vacuum cleaners.
- Adhere to safety procedures when using chemical cleaners and power equipment to avoid damage.
- Assist in moving heavy furniture and equipment as needed.
- Notify management of any significant repair or maintenance needs.
- Order cleaning supplies and equipment as required.
- Prepare facilities for events by setting up and removing decorations, tables, and chairs.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Effective communication skills.
- Basic math and reading proficiency.
- Ability to follow both oral and written instructions.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Work Environment:Work will primarily take place in a machine shop setting, requiring regular walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
Employment Type:This position requires full-time availability, with shifts lasting 8 hours from Monday to Friday, and overtime may be necessary based on production demands. Regular attendance is a critical aspect of this role.
