Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will provide high-quality patient care and education in support of our medical staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient education on health topics, including disease prevention and management
  • Measure vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse
  • Administer medications as directed by the clinician, ensuring accurate dosing and documentation
  • Document patient care in medical records, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
  • Prepare and perform tests, including lab work and diagnostic procedures
  • Schedule patient appointments, ensuring timely and efficient care
  • Enter patient information into our electronic health record system, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical diploma in Practical Nursing
  • Currently licensed Practical Nurse in the state
  • CPR certification
  • One or more years of related work experience in healthcare

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a university or academic environment
  • Knowledge of electronic health record systems and medical software
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, communicating with medical staff and patients
