The Administrative Assistant - PACE Clinic Scheduler will provide key clerical and administrative support to the PACE operations team. This role will assist in carrying out department responsibilities and collaborate with others to support short- and long-term goals/priorities for the department.
Key Responsibilities- Administrative Support: Provide reception relief, maintain and support current Quality Initiatives related to specialty care services, and coordinate work with other administrative staff within the PACE center.
- Communication: Maintain confidential and sensitive information and files regarding participants, policy, and personnel with appropriate follow-up, and communicate with participants, family, caregivers, and external stakeholders.
- Specialty Appointments: Coordinate specialty appointments and services in collaboration with the clinical team, report any pertinent information to the clinical team and Interdisciplinary Team (IDT), and arrange transportation services with participants, family, caregivers, and contracted transportation vendors.
- Documentation: Document interactions into medical records as per current workflows, and complete other projects and duties as assigned.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: 1 year of experience working in a clinical setting.
- Certifications: CPR and First-Aid Certification required or must be obtained within six (6) months of date of hire.
- Education: Associate's degree.
- Experience: 1 year of health care experience.
- Language: Bilingual in one of the CalOptima Health's threshold languages (Spanish, Vietnamese, Arabic, Farsi, Korean, Chinese).
The work setting is in an adult day health center and primary care clinic environment with minimal to moderate noise levels and controlled office temperatures.
