About the Role

CFD Research Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Modeling and Simulation Software Developer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for designing and developing software to aid in the development, verification, and validation of threat models such as weapon systems, radar, and other complex systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Develop Software: Create and maintain M&S and analytic tools to support customer site work in Huntsville, AL.
  • Integrate Software Models: Develop and integrate software models into complex system-of-system simulation environments.
  • Perform Radar and Weapon System Analysis: Develop and utilize tools to support radar and weapon system performance analysis relating to detection, target discrimination, tracking, guidance, intercept, electronic attack/protection.
  • Collaborate with Hardware Design Engineers: Advise hardware design engineers on machine characteristics that affect software systems.
  • Analyze Software Program Needs: Analyze software program needs and assist in troubleshooting.
Requirements
  • US Citizenship: Candidate must be a US Citizen.
  • Security Clearance: Candidate must possess an Active TS/SCI with Poly security clearance.
  • Education: Minimum degree required is a Bachelor's in a STEM field or equivalent.
  • Experience: Five (5) plus years' experience performing software development in Windows and Linux environments using MATLAB, python, and compiled languages such as C/C++, Java, and/or Fortran.
  • Skills: Strong analytic skills, and interest/experience in radar, missile, and/or directed energy weapon topics.
  • Version Control: Familiarity with the fundamentals of distributed version control for software development.
