Position Overview:
ISC Engineering is actively seeking a motivated entry-level mechanical engineer to become a part of the Piping and Mechanical Department.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with fellow engineers, designers, and drafters to create construction work packages tailored for the chemical and refining sectors.

This role is designed to guide recent graduates on a path of professional growth, managing projects from initial concept through to completion.


Key Responsibilities:

Under the guidance of a Project Manager or Senior Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate will:

  • Prepare technical specifications and datasheets for evaluation and approval.
  • Assess vendor bids and drawings to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Conduct calculations for various project components, including pressure vessels, pumps, heat exchangers, and tanks.
  • Collaborate with Project Engineers and Designers to ensure compliance with engineering standards.
  • Review equipment and piping drawings, layouts, and material specifications to verify alignment with ISC and client standards.
  • Assist in the production of mechanical drawings as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Entry-level experience, with co-op or internship experience in the Oil & Gas sector preferred but not mandatory.
  • Licensure as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or the capability to obtain licensure.
  • Knowledge of industry specifications and codes related to equipment and piping design.
  • The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).

Familiarity with AutoCAD or 3D design software is advantageous.

Possession of a TWIC Card or the ability to obtain one is required.

Ability to conduct job walks, create field sketches, assist surveying teams, and trace lines in client facilities is essential.
