Position Summary:

To align with the growing electric vehicle market in the United States, CATK is seeking multiple full-time and committed Manufacturing Process Engineers. The selected candidates will focus on improving product quality, refining production methodologies, and facilitating the introduction of new products and materials. These positions necessitate a proactive mindset for identifying and resolving production challenges, upholding high standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and enhance the yield and utilization rates of quality products.
  • Work towards improving the First Time Yield (FTY) rate, ensuring that products meet quality benchmarks on the initial attempt.
  • Design and implement robust monitoring systems for mass production processes.
  • Conduct detailed analyses to identify and rectify anomalies swiftly.
  • Assess risks linked to the introduction of new products, materials, processes, and equipment.
  • Formulate and execute strategies to mitigate these risks, ensuring seamless integration.
  • Implement corrective actions to resolve batch quality issues.
  • Thoroughly analyze customer complaints to determine root causes.
  • Develop and execute improvement plans to address and prevent recurrence of issues.
  • Provide on-site support for mass production clients.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and address any issues arising during audits.
  • Maintain an organized documentation system for all relevant records, ensuring accessibility for reference and audit purposes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in electrochemical engineering, engineering, materials science, or related disciplines.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in process engineering or a related field; experience in the automotive battery manufacturing sector is preferred.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with a proven ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.
  • Proficient in various engineering methodologies including Six Sigma, Design of Experiments (DOE), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and the 8D problem-solving process.
  • Skilled in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, along with data analysis tools such as Minitab and JMP.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction and support.
  • Proficient in documentation and maintaining organized records.
  • Ability to maintain a full-time work schedule with regular in-person attendance.
  • Capable of interacting professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds and skill levels.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to navigate work sites, which may involve walking, standing, and climbing ladders or stairs.
  • Flexibility to bend, kneel, or crouch, particularly during inspections or troubleshooting.
  • Capability to lift and carry moderate weights, typically ranging from 25-50 pounds, as some equipment and materials may be heavy.
  • Occasional lifting of heavier items may be necessary, depending on project requirements.
  • Ability to work in various environments, including offices, construction sites, and manufacturing facilities.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to various job sites, which may involve driving or other forms of transportation.
