Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Staff Pharmacist to join our team at KPH Healthcare Services, Inc. in Oklahoma City. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the efficient daily operation of our pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and adhere to AristaCare policies and procedures to provide the highest quality healthcare services to our patients.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as accrediting body standards.
  • Interpret and evaluate physician medication orders to ensure therapeutic appropriateness, cost-effectiveness, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Accurately maintain all legally required records and directly supervise pharmacy support personnel and/or interns in the mixing, packaging, and labeling of pharmaceuticals.
  • Provide technical and clinical information to patients, nurses, and physicians, and communicate results of monitoring activities as required.
  • Initiate, review, and update all AristaCare required documentation per Policy and Procedure.
  • Follow established procedures for DME and supply procurement and maintain appropriate inventory levels and preferred product selection of drugs, solutions, and supplies.
  • Accurately compound IV admixtures, utilizing appropriate technique, performing checks and double checks, per Policy and Procedure.
  • Adhere to stability and compatibility guidelines and quality control procedures.
  • Perform accurate computer order-entry, labeling, and dispensing, and participate with nurses and physicians in all clinical activities as required.
  • Participate in the referral acceptance/denial process and product, device, and supply selection, and participate in on-call rotations.
  • Participate in Performance Improvement activities, educational programs, and departmental/branch meetings, and drive the Primary Case Management Model (PCMM) in daily interactions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Pharmacy or a Pharm.D. from an accredited college or university.
  • Prefer one year of experience in an IV alternate site environment or equivalent work experience.
  • Current license for state of practice, current CPR certification if involved with direct patient contact, valid driver's license, and appropriate automobile insurance coverage per AristaCare's policy.
  • Special Conditions of Employment: drug test, initial and continuous exclusion and sanction/disciplinary monitoring, and any and all additional eligibility requirements based on the specific position.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, patients, nurses, and physicians.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and compute rate, ratio, percent, and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists, and ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
