Key Responsibilities
  • Capacity Analysis & Tooling: Conduct thorough capacity analyses, identify opportunities for improvement, and specify new tooling to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Lean Improvements: Develop and implement process improvements aligned with lean manufacturing principles, focusing on waste reduction and efficiency gains.
  • Process Changes & Facility Projects: Lead the implementation of process changes and improvements, ensuring seamless integration with existing operations and supporting Factory Master Plans as needed.
  • Day-to-Day Operations Support: Utilize engineering tools to support daily manufacturing operations, ensuring quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
  • Problem Solving & Quality Enhancement: Apply technical problem-solving techniques to evaluate and implement manufacturing improvement strategies, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Production Bottlenecks: Investigate and resolve production bottlenecks, focusing on safety, ergonomics, quality, and cost reduction.
  • Engineering Change Orders: Analyze design, drawing, and engineering change orders, ensuring changes are practical, necessary, and cost-effective.
  • Project Management: Initiate and manage projects, including cost reduction and product/plant improvements, from planning through completion.
  • Cross-Functional Team Leadership: Lead plant-level cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Quality, Materials/Purchasing, and Production, to drive process improvements and optimize operations.
  • Space & Equipment Planning: Analyze and plan manufacturing space, equipment, tooling, personnel, and time requirements to ensure optimal operations.
  • Cost Reduction & Process Optimization: Continuously analyze operations to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction, implementing changes to drive business growth.
  • Expenditure Management: Develop and submit requests for capital expenditures, expenses, and purchase requisitions to support process improvements and operational efficiency.
  • Communication: Present ideas and solutions effectively to department heads and plant management, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in process engineering or continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and relevant software tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP.
  • Familiarity with the Toyota Production System.
  • Experience with related industry products.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
