Job SummaryThe Psychiatrist will be responsible for assessing, evaluating, and treating patients with mental health disorders, as well as providing consultation and support to primary care providers. You will work in a fast-paced, team-based environment, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
Responsibilities- Assess and evaluate patients with mental health disorders, developing treatment plans and providing ongoing care.
- Provide consultation and support to primary care providers, helping them manage patients with mental health concerns.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care, including therapy, case management, and medication management.
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, in accordance with department standards.
- Meet productivity expectations, prioritizing work and adhering to schedule.
- Board Certification in Psychiatry preferred.
- Current American Heart Association healthcare provider CPR (BLS), or Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, or Advance Resuscitation Training.
- DEA license.
- Graduate from an accredited school of medicine; completion of a 3 year residency in General Psychiatry OR current status as a 3rd year resident in a General Psychiatry program.
- Must possess current unrestricted license to practice in the State of California.
- 1 year experience working in Psychiatry preferred; experience with underserved, low-income persons, or homeless persons preferred.
The Psychiatrist will work in a fast-paced, team-based environment, with frequent interactions with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. The position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a diverse, multicultural setting.
Compensation
The base salary for this position is $161.77, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, jurisdictional requirements, skills, education, and/or experience.
