Geology Instructor

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Professor of Geology to teach courses in a classroom environment to students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences.

• Plan and teach Geology courses effectively to students with diverse academic backgrounds and experiences.
• Work strategically with diverse colleagues, students, and community members with a commitment to diversity as a learning outcome.
• Develop and maintain a culturally respectful, professionally competent, and civically responsible academic environment.
• Utilize relevant technology and learning management systems to facilitate teaching, learning, assessment, and communication.
• Engage students in the online teaching environment through consistent communication and virtual support mechanisms.
• Teach in a variety of modalities, including virtually, and demonstrate competency and commitment to continuous professional development in virtual education.

• Master's Degree with at least eighteen graduate semester hours in the specific discipline.
• Official transcripts required prior to final offer.
• Ability to demonstrate the use of relevant technology and learning management systems.
• Commitment to student engagement in the online teaching environment.
• Technology capability to teach remotely.
• Ability to teach in a variety of modalities, including virtually.
• Demonstrate competency and commitment to continuous professional development in virtual education.

• Prior teaching experience.
• Work experience in the field.
• Experience with online teaching.
• Substantial, proven experience with innovative teaching and developing online courses in both synchronous and asynchronous learning environments.
• Experience with or willingness to learn artificial intelligence tools.
