Senior Designer Role

We are seeking a Senior Designer to join our interdisciplinary design studio. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and designing multiple product categories, including woven upholstery and privacy curtains. You will work closely with our Design Director, Director of Design Alliance and Strategic Partnerships, and Design Manager to establish design and product direction. Your expertise will be essential in generating original textile designs for mass production, guiding products through the development process, and collaborating with our resources to develop leading-edge products that surpass industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Contribute significantly to the Maharam Woven Upholstery category
* Establish framework and manage direction of the Maharam Privacy Curtain category
* Use creative and technical abilities to generate original textile designs for mass production
* Guide products through the development process to completion and approval stage
* Work with Product Management to keep current on product sales and consumer trends
* Research and analyze the capabilities of our manufacturing partners to make informed decisions about sourcing
* Travel required as needed to visit tradeshows and resources
* Keep up to date on developments in international design and art to generate relevant product concepts
* Collaborate with our resources to develop leading-edge product that surpasses industry standards

Requirements

* Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Textile Design
* 8+ years of industry experience
