We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse to join our General Medicine-Surgical Unit at Mount Sinai Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities- Deliver patient care by incorporating the principles of Relationship Centered Care and the nursing process.
- Assess and evaluate patient care needs, applying critical thinking skills to manage patient care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate the plan of care.
- Prioritize patient care, including teaching, rounding, coaching, and planning after hospital care, delegating to others as appropriate.
- Educate patients and caregivers about their plan of care, transition of care, promotion of health, and prevention of disease.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, family, and all members of the Interdisciplinary Patient Care Team.
- Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing, demonstrating effective allocation of material resources.
- Bachelor of Science with a major in nursing preferred; Associate degree in nursing considered with relevant experience and/or active matriculation in a BSN Program.
- Relevant clinical competence in the area of nursing practice assigned; new graduates must possess current knowledge of the nursing process and its application.
- Licensed as a registered nurse with current registration in New York State.
