Adjunct Faculty

Harford Community College is seeking qualified medical assisting adjunct faculty members to teach on-campus, online, and/or hybrid classes.
Responsibilities:- Validate teaching experience through a teaching demonstration during the interview process.
- Teach medical assisting courses, including clinical and administrative topics.
- Develop and revise curriculum to ensure it meets the needs of students and the medical assisting profession.
- Interact with students and potential students outside the classroom environment in discipline-related activities.
- Certification as a medical assistant.
- Minimum of an associate's degree, with a master's degree highly preferred.
- Two years of experience as a medical assistant, with experience in medical billing and coding, including EHR, preferred.
- Current and updated clinical expertise in medical assisting or expertise in medical billing and coding, including EHR.
- Previous teaching experience, including clinical and/or classroom, test item writing, curriculum development, and demonstrated ability to evaluate student performance.
- Experience with instructional technology.
Work is generally performed on the College campus unless otherwise specified.
