Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Logistics Associate to support our operations in managing inventory effectively. This role involves various tasks such as receiving shipments, organizing stock, and preparing orders for dispatch.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrated experience in a steel logistics environment, particularly with tubing and solid bar steel.
  • Familiarity with operating overhead cranes, steel bandsaws, and forklifts is advantageous.
  • Efficiently utilize overhead cranes for loading and unloading flatbed trucks to meet customer demands.
  • Possess basic mathematical abilities for inventory management.
  • Ability to read and interpret measuring tools accurately.
  • Complete all necessary internal documentation related to warehouse operations.
  • Ensure a tidy and organized workspace at all times.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations established by Service Steel and OSHA.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a CDL Class A license who are open to warehouse duties and occasional driving.
  • Enjoy a comprehensive benefits package through Teamsters.
  • Reliable transportation is essential for this role.
  • Standard working hours are 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday.
