Critical Care Nurse

Ochsner Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Critical Care team as a Nurse Leader in the LTAC Night Shift. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, lead by example, and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Lead and manage the nursing team, delegating tasks, and providing guidance and support to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records, reports, and data to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing evidence-based practices to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Critical Care nursing, with a focus on LTAC care.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
