Job Summary

United Counseling Services is seeking a highly skilled Intake Specialist to join our team. As the initial point of contact for individuals requesting services, the Intake Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring a seamless and efficient admissions process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to inquiries from prospective clients, gathering vital information and completing the admissions process in accordance with agency protocols.
  • Collaborate with administrative and clinical staff to ensure individuals receive Same Day Access to services.
  • Align individuals with the appropriate service, including FAST, MAT, Emergency Services, and FES.
  • Refer individuals to internal and external resources, including the Early Childhood Services Division.
  • Work with clinical teams to assist individuals in accessing medical, social, educational resources, and other services within the agency and community.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in Behavioral Healthcare, Customer Service, or Administrative Support.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Health Record systems.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and quality principles.
Working Conditions

The Intake Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong organizational and time management skills. Travel to agency facilities and attending meetings and trainings may be required.
