Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Assistant Manager to join our team at Gold's Gym - Islip. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for managing and developing all aspects of the gym, including personal training, sales, and front desk operations.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver an exceptional member and team member experience by actively engaging with members and providing personalized support.
  • Lead by example and demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service, ensuring that all members receive a positive experience.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and revenue growth, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Manage and motivate a team of personal trainers and group exercise instructors, providing coaching and feedback to ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Conduct regular gym floor walks to ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and that the facility is clean and well-maintained.
  • Monitor and respond to member feedback, using it as an opportunity to improve our services and products.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement company-wide initiatives, ensuring alignment with our business objectives.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in the fitness industry, with a strong background in management and customer service.
  • Relevant certifications, such as NASM, ACE, or ISSA.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
  • Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and market trends.
