The Technician is responsible for cleaning designated spaces using approved products and adhering to established protocols.
Key responsibilities encompass the daily disposal of bio-hazardous materials (regulated medical waste), as well as the proper handling of regular and bulk waste to designated locations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
The Technician is tasked with the safe transportation of waste according to a defined duty list, ensuring timely removal from healthcare facilities, and following medical waste documentation procedures while maintaining cleanliness and safety of waste containers at all times.
Floor maintenance responsibilities include carpet cleaning, floor scrubbing, buffing, and, when assigned, advanced floor treatments such as crystallizing and diamond cutting of terrazzo surfaces.
The Technician operates cleaning equipment with safety and efficiency, submits requests for repairs as necessary, ensures adequate supplies and equipment are available in storage areas, and alerts the Supervisor or designated personnel when inventory levels are low.
