Job Summary

Buzzi Unicem USA, Inc. is seeking a skilled Terminal Operator to join our team. As a Terminal Operator, you will play a critical role in supporting our company's operations by performing a combination of duties in a professional, safe, and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading bulk trucks in a safe, efficient, and timely manner from designated silos, as instructed by the Terminal Manager.
  • Ensuring each load is completed to the customer's specification within legal limits.
  • Spotting railcars over the loading area to connect the cars with the unloading equipment.
  • Continuously monitoring the unloading process, while safely operating manual unloading gates, air valves, and blowers.
  • Adhering to company safety policies and performing work in a safe manner.
  • Cleaning all areas of the terminal and grounds, and obtaining daily/weekly samples.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Able to work different extended hours, holidays, and/or overtime as required.
  • Speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to work independently, without constant supervision.
  • Able to work inside and outside in year-round weather conditions.
  • In good physical condition, able to bend, use a broom, and shovel, able to lift and carry up to 100 lbs.
  • Sit and stand for extended periods of time, kneel, climb ladders, and walk on mixed terrain and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work at heights up to 150 feet.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and tractors for cutting grass.
