Key ResponsibilitiesReceptionist Duties:
  • Welcome patients and visitors with a friendly demeanor.
  • Gather essential patient information, including demographics and insurance details, prior to their appointments.
  • Process patient payments and accurately enter them into the EMR system.
  • Assist with the check-in and check-out processes for patients.
  • Coordinate and schedule patient appointments for various visits and procedures.
  • Handle incoming phone calls professionally.
  • Manage referrals and obtain prior authorizations for tests and procedures.
  • Uphold patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
  • Monitor and check faxes as needed.
  • Organize patient records into charts efficiently.
Certified Medical Assistant Duties:
  • Ensure patient rooms are clean and ready for use daily.
  • Collect clinical histories and measure vital signs from patients.
  • Perform medical procedures as directed by healthcare providers, including EKGs and injections.
  • Document all relevant information in patients' charts accurately.
  • Maintain an inventory of medical supplies and ensure they are stocked.
  • Organize and digitize all documents into patients' charts.
  • Adhere to patient privacy and confidentiality protocols at all times.
