Cardiology Department Support Staff

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cardiology Department Support Staff to join our team at Piedmont Healthcare. As a Clinical Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting our healthcare professionals in delivering exceptional patient care and services.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating patient flow, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring seamless communication between healthcare teams. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Coordinate patient flow and scheduling
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Communicate effectively with healthcare teams and patients
- Assist with administrative duties, such as procedure scheduling and completion of medical history forms
- Perform lab duties, including phlebotomy, order entry, specimen collection, and labeling for delivery to appropriate authority for testing
- Under supervision of licensed personnel, distribute educational information and instructions for patient care, diagnostics, and treatments
- Coordinate telephone and in-basket requests to refill prescription medications and report test results according to provider instructions
- Maintain examination/treatment rooms, including inventory of supplies and equipment
To be considered for this position, applicants must possess:
- A High School diploma or equivalent required; graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred
- No prior experience required; willingness to learn and adapt to new situations essential
- BLS certification required; AAMA certification or similar recognized organization preferred
