Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in embedded systems development
  • Proficient in backend object-oriented programming, particularly in C++
  • Strong background in front-end human-machine interface (HMI) development with a focus on user interface design
  • Experience in Java programming is also beneficial
  • Solid experience across various operating systems
  • Familiarity with Android and Linux is essential
  • Knowledge of Windows is advantageous
  • Experience with version control and defect tracking tools
  • Background in agile/scrum methodologies within a team environment
  • Participate in two-week sprint cycles
  • Experience in maintaining software applications using various debugging tools
  • Preferred tools include ADB and Android Studio

Daily Responsibilities:

Insight Global is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to contribute to a leading OEM client. This role is primarily remote, but candidates should be located within a specific region. The successful candidate will collaborate on the client's connected vehicle systems, focusing on the implementation of new functionalities in embedded vehicle software, as well as providing necessary software maintenance.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Reviewing product requirement documents for connected vehicle applications and formulating software designs and proposals
  • Implementing new functionalities in embedded vehicle applications
  • Conducting debugging and maintenance activities for existing vehicle software
  • Engaging in program increment (PI) planning
  • Participating in code reviews and collaborating as part of a cross-functional agile development team
