Job Summary

Bergelectric is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead our electrical construction projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating construction operations, purchases, financial reporting, and project controls activities for assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and negotiate project contracts, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.
  • Develop and maintain project controls, budgets, and schedules, collaborating with operational subordinates.
  • Execute major project purchases, managing material releases and mitigating supply chain issues.
  • Manage project profitability, analyzing revenue, cost, and profit forecasts.
  • Evaluate construction methods, determining cost-effectiveness and implementing quality control programs.
  • Oversee closeout procedures, ensuring documentation, filing, and record drawings are completed.
  • Regularly visit projects to assess performance, progress, and quality, ensuring connectivity with the field and clients.
  • Produce schedules of values and manage billing for assigned projects.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies, promoting a safe working environment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and trade partners to ensure successful project outcomes.
Requirements
  • BS in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of electrical commercial construction experience with an electrical contractor.
  • Ability to multi-task in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, judgment, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of materials, methods, and tools required for electrical construction.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional computer skills.
