We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team on a PRN basis. As a PRN RN, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department
- Implement and monitor patient care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Monitor, record, and communicate patients' conditions to ensure seamless care transitions
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders in a timely and accurate manner
- Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs to ensure a smooth transition to home or further care
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Two years of recent related nursing experience (internal applicants with less than two years' experience may be considered with approval)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or willingness to obtain within one year of employment
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or willingness to obtain within one year of employment
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC – adult) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC – pediatric) or willingness to complete within 24 months of employment
This role requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. The position also requires standing and walking for extended periods, corrected vision and hearing, and working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Personal Protective EquipmentFollows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
