Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Hospice Travel Registered Nurse to join our team at Liberty Health.

Estimated Annual Salary:

$120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires frequent travel across our hospice coverage area. As a Hospice Travel Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and documentation, which meets reimbursement guidelines. You will also coordinate physical care of patients with families, patients, physicians, and our hospice team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply a working knowledge of nursing theories and concepts.
  • Responsible for care and documentation of care, which meets reimbursement guidelines.
  • Coordinate physical care of the patient with family, patient, physician, and Hospice team.
  • Communicate with patients/families at all levels.
  • Communicate with all agency personnel.
  • Attend and participate in IDT meetings and quality review as scheduled by agency.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in state of practice.
  • Succesful completion of a nursing education from an approved school of nursing.
  • Two years of clinical nursing experience and at least one year of hospice nursing experience preferred.
  • Frequent contact with the Clinical Manager, Administrator, Operations Support Technician.
  • Frequent contact with other disciplines on the care team as well as customers and vendors from other agencies.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the principles and practice of nursing according to nursing practice act, agencies policies and procedures, and reimbursement guidelines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Constantly able to use a computer and have a working knowledge of a variety of computer applications.
  • Must possess high-level problem-solving, critical thinking, and reasoning skills for use in patient care planning and problem resolution.
  • Must be able to be cheerful and represent a positive, professional first impression at all times.
  • Available to travel as needed across the Hospice coverage area.
