Your Responsibilities:
As a Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various heavy construction machinery while adhering to safety and operational protocols. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced mechanics while applying your knowledge of safety regulations to ensure smooth operations. Compensation ranges from $25 to $29 per hour, with ample overtime opportunities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Valid driver's license; Class A or B CDL preferred.
- Proficient in disassembling and reassembling heavy machinery using hoists and hand tools.
- Skilled in diagnosing and repairing equipment malfunctions and performing maintenance on machinery such as cranes, power shovels, scrapers, paving machines, motor graders, trench-digging machines, conveyors, bulldozers, dredges, pumps, compressors, and pneumatic tools.
- Experience with dozers, Cat haul trucks, front-end loaders, mobile cranes, and forklifts is preferred.
- Understanding of preventative maintenance practices.
- Background in farm work or related fields is advantageous.
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions and extreme temperatures.
- Capability to work at heights and lift/carry up to 75 lbs.
