Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ready Mix Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering ready mix concrete products to various customer and job site locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a ready mix truck in a safe and professional manner on public highways, roads, and job sites.
  • Align the mixer drum under the disbursement chute at the plant to receive product into the mixer truck drum.
  • Fills the truck water tank with water while the mixer drum is being filled.
  • Operate the conveyor unit on trucks with attached conveyors, using a hand-held control box to operate and hydraulically move the conveyor belt.
  • Keep accurate logs of deliveries and complete required paperwork for billing.
  • Perform pre and post-trip truck and trailer inspections.
  • Inform the Service Technician of any maintenance or repairs needed.
  • May perform minor maintenance tasks to trucks or equipment as needed.
Requirements
  • Demonstrate good performance, safety, and attendance.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently, without direct supervision.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to work overtime and weekends/holidays.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work and communicate well with Supervisors, Truck Dispatchers, Truck Drivers, Heavy Equipment Operators, and other employees.
  • Demonstrate the ability to conform to and maintain MSHA, OSHA, DOT, and all other company or governmental state rules and regulations.
  • Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required.
  • Must have good depth perception and coordination to operate controls.
  • Must have a valid driver's license - Class B CDL required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with ready-mixed operations a plus.
  • Ready-mixed experience is preferred but will train the right people.

CDL Reimbursement Program

New hires who acquire their CDL and start working with us within 3 months of obtaining their license are reimbursed for the cost of the license up to a maximum of $4,000.
