About the Role

Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) is a cloud-native Security Service Edge (SSE) solution that builds on a decade of secure web gateway leadership. As a cloud-native solution, it replaces legacy network security solutions, preventing advanced attacks and data loss with a comprehensive zero-trust approach.

This role is part of a team developing a Firewall and Web proxy solution delivered as a service through the cloud. You will report to the Sr. Director, Software Development Engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop large-scale commercial networking-oriented applications with 15+ years of software development experience.
  • Develop expertise in Load balancers, IPS/IDS, Routers, Firewall products in multi-threading / multi-core / fault-tolerant real-time embedded platforms.
  • Develop expert-level programming skills in C/UNIX/RTOS and fundamentals in TCP/IP, High performance Computing, Event-based programming, & Fault Tolerance.
  • Collaborate with others in a team environment and have a quick learning ability.
  • Participate in the complete software development cycle.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with FreeBSD-based networking solutions.
  • Knowledge of HTTP and web proxies.
  • Experience in Cloud-based Networking solutions.
  • Some small company/startup experience.
