About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Space Vehicle Systems Engineer to support our SPO in Chantilly, VA. As a key member of our program office, you will play a critical role in planning, executing, monitoring, and overseeing the development and acquisition of satellite systems.

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is $160,000 - $220,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Key Accountabilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing technical support and participating in customer activities, such as program readiness and design reviews.
  • Representing the Government Customer as a technical representative of the program office, interfacing directly with Development Contractor's management teams and technical staff.
  • Reviewing design material to identify issues, assess maturity, identify risks, and propose potential solutions.
  • Working in a team to ensure proper requirement Verification and Validation methodology is executed by the developer.
  • Reviewing test plans, providing feedback to the Government Customer and the Development Contractors, observing discrete tests, and providing technical assessments of progress to the program office team.
  • Identifying space system development and Integration and Testing risks; providing inputs to risk management processes, including proposed risk mitigation approaches.
  • Providing oversight of on-going acquisitions, with specific focus on ensuring end-to-end system closure and satisfaction of mission need.
  • Reviewing Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables to ensure content, technical accuracy, and sufficiency of design details to meet program requirements and objectives.
Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A BS Degree.
  • TS/SCI with Poly clearance.
  • Effective communication, coordination, and customer engagement skills.
  • Knowledge of how space systems are designed, specified, developed, manufactured, and tested.
