Buckner International is seeking a dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team at The Stayton at Museum Way. As a LVN, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities- Implement individualized service plans, administering or supervising treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Conduct regular rounds of all residents, utilizing service plans, and collaborate with physicians to record visits and updates.
- Administer intramuscular, sub-cutaneous injections, perform in-house testing procedures, and take vital signs.
- Document acute episodes or significant changes in resident status, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Supervise nurse aides in their duties, monitoring their work, assigning tasks, and specifying break times and special duties.
- Collaborate with the Activity Director, DON, and nurse aides to carry out the activities program, promoting resident engagement and satisfaction.
- Participate in staff meetings, maintaining open communication and contributing to a positive work environment.
- Receive and place calls to physicians, following through with orders and ensuring seamless communication.
- High School diploma or GED, plus one to two years of college or vocational school.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in Texas.
- Ability to use up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds continuously to move objects and/or people.
- Regularly perform bending, stooping, twisting, turning, reaching, lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, climbing, kneeling, walking, and standing.
