Position Overview:

The Senior Carpentry Specialist will oversee intricate carpentry assignments, site preparation tasks, and will be trained in the installation of all product lines offered by Great Day Improvements.
Supervision of apprentices will encompass training, planning, assigning tasks, and directing work in alignment with company policies and installation standards.
Opportunities for advancement to Senior Carpentry Specialist may arise based on branch requirements.Advancement will also be influenced by various factors including overall job knowledge, skill proficiency, quality of work, compliance with company policies and procedures, safety practices, and attendance records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with supervisors to review project details
- Verify and ensure the accuracy of project breakdowns in accordance with client contracts
- Conduct site preparation, which may involve modifications to existing structures.
- Perform carpentry tasks that may include deck alterations, dormer installations, overhang adjustments, wood knee wall constructions, wall modifications, and finish carpentry.
- Execute both simple and complex deck projects
- Carry out demolition tasks
- Measure and cut materials for installation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Install various product lines including All View, ComfortView, and Solarium
- Design and construct complex wooden roofing structures
- Handle advanced carpentry responsibilities such as dormer connections, fascia work, structural remodeling, and rehabilitation tasks
- Perform service-related tasks
- Collect necessary payments from clients when applicable
- May assist in setting up, dismantling, and repairing displays for marketing events
- Demonstrate the ability to manage oneself, the team, and client interactions.
- Additional duties may be assigned as necessary
Qualifications:
Candidates should have a minimum of five years of carpentry experience, ideally in remodeling, with three to five years in a leadership capacity.
Performance Expectations:
- Achieve a top score of 90% or higher on post-installation customer service surveys
- Maintain positive online reviews for at least 10% of completed jobs
- Demonstrate capability in installing all product lines offered by the company, including AV, RESUME, solariums, blinds, shades, and awnings, as well as constructing simple decks.
- Exhibit proficiency in complex carpentry tasks (e.g., wooden roofs, knee walls, and primed doors)
