Job Summary:

As an Extruder Operator at SIG Combibloc, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our film extrusion machinery. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate film extrusion machinery to produce high-quality products.
• Inspect products for visual defects and complete inspection reports as required.
• Make boxes to be filled with production and count, weigh, and record the number of units of materials moved or handled.
• Complete daily production reports and perform rework, sorting, and documentation of heldware.
• Operate automated equipment and work effectively in a team environment.

Requirements:

• Ability to work day shift and night shift, including overtime as required.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and presentations.
• Basic skill knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel, and Virtual Client to perform effectively in daily activities.
• Ability to perform visual inspection process and successfully read and apply technical specifications.

Working Conditions:

Often exposed to moving mechanical parts. Safety and Quality is EVERYONE'S responsibility. You must report or correct any food safety or potential food safety hazard to the person who can correct it.

Adherence to policies and procedures related to quality management, safety, SQF and other regulatory guidelines communicated during your new hire orientation and defined in your SIG (formerly Scholle IPN) handbook are mandatory.
