Position Overview:
The Floor Maintenance Specialist is responsible for the cleaning, upkeep, and repair of both carpeted and hard floor surfaces.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Floor Maintenance Specialist, you will:

  • Perform comprehensive floor cleaning and maintenance tasks using ServiceMaster's tools and procedures.
  • Execute duties such as sweeping, mopping, polishing, vacuuming, shampooing carpets, stripping, waxing, and buffing.
  • Move furniture and disinfect floors with sanitizing agents.
  • Conduct spot cleaning and maintain cleanliness in elevators and stairways.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of floor maintenance procedures, including identifying various flooring types.
  • Operate various floor care equipment and machinery.
  • Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Utilize proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety gear as necessary.
  • Open and secure facilities, managing the security system as required.

Qualifications:
While a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in floor maintenance is preferred, we are willing to provide on-the-job training for candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. Experience in a professional cleaning or floor care environment, such as an office complex, hotel, hospital, or educational institution, is advantageous.

Physical Requirements:
This role requires constant standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, and reaching. Candidates must be able to lift and carry up to 55 lbs.
