Responsibilities

  • Provide Patient Care
    • Assess the physical and behavioral health needs of patients and develop individualized care plans.
    • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
    • Monitor patients' status and report any changes or concerns to physicians.
  • Coordinate Care
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain Accurate Records
    • Document patient information, treatment plans, and progress.
    • Ensure accurate and timely completion of admission and discharge processes.
  • Exhibit Professionalism
    • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
    • Provide direction and guidance to colleagues as needed.

Requirements

  • Education and Licensure
    • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
    • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia.
  • Experience and Skills
    • Previous experience in psychiatric nursing highly preferred.
    • CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification preferred.
    • First Aid certification may be required.
