Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at AICA Orthopedics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pain management and be able to work autonomously in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough medical histories and perform complete physical examinations to establish a record of the patient's current health status and develop a working diagnosis and treatment plan.
  • Initiate appropriate lab, radiology tests, or other special tests required for evaluation of acute pain source and scrutinize lab data to identify pathophysiologic processes.
  • Perform routine procedures such as trigger point and major joint injections, and educate patients regarding their treatment plan.
  • Assist with record keeping, complete patient medical chart documentation, and transcribe lab data and routine correspondence as directed and reviewed by a physician.
  • Refer patients to physicians as appropriate for consultation or for specialized interventional pain procedures or to surgeons for surgical intervention.
  • Ensure continuity of care by serving as a liaison between patient and other members of the multi-disciplinary care team or with other specialty areas as necessary.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Nurse Practitioner Program with a master's degree in nursing.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in interventional pain management and orthopedic experience preferred.
  • Current state licensure and physician assistant or nurse practitioner certification.
  • Prescriptive authority for licensure and current DEA license to prescribe.
  • Proficient at trigger point injections and ordering interventional spine procedures.
  • Current ACLS and BLS license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong customer service skills and good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain good relationships with providers and coworkers.
  • Ability to effectively give and receive information from patients, providers, and other clinic employees.
Work Environment

The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced clinical setting and have strong communication skills. The position requires the ability to work autonomously and make decisions in a timely manner.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is hourly and exempt. The position also offers a potential bonus based on KPI metrics.
