The Business and Finance Unit in the School of Commerce at Virginia Commonwealth University is seeking a pool of qualified applicants for adjunct faculty positions for the academic year.

When funding for such adjunct teaching positions becomes available, the Academic Affairs Office will contact individuals in the pool whose credentials match our teaching needs.

This pool will be accessed only when an opening arises. This posting will remain active until further notice.

After further notice, you will need to reapply to the updated posting if you would like to remain in the adjunct pool.

We seek candidates for the adjunct instructor pool to teach in person, hybrid, and/or online sections of Business and Finance courses.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • As an Adjunct Instructor in the Business and Finance Unit in the School of Commerce, you will contribute to the School's strategic plan
  • Instructors will be expected to hold regular, online office hours
Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Business or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in the business and finance profession
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated experience or interest in teaching and collaborating with diverse populations
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated teaching excellence in teaching courses with high enrollment in higher education
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems
