SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
The Executive Director is responsible for the comprehensive management, development, and implementation of daily operations within our Assisted Living and Memory Care community. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and maintaining the highest standards of care for residents, while also safeguarding the financial health of the community and fostering a positive work environment for all staff.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide leadership and oversight of community operations, including training, coaching, and performance evaluations for all personnel.
- Collaborate with department heads to establish and implement effective policies and procedures.
- Ensure adherence to all legal requirements and company policies governing community operations.
- Work alongside the Community Relations Director to enhance marketing efforts and achieve resident occupancy targets.
- Guarantee that nursing services align with resident needs and comply with state regulations and internal policies.
- Manage the admissions process, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
- Oversee recruitment and retention strategies to attract qualified staff, ensuring all necessary background checks are completed.
- Encourage employee engagement through recognition and incentive programs.
- Promote a positive workplace culture by addressing employee concerns and resolving issues promptly.
- Administer the community budget, providing support and training to department leaders.
- Conduct regular operational reviews and prepare quality audits and variance reports.
- Perform additional duties as required.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- 5-10 years of experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within a memory care setting is essential.
- Exhibit patience and compassion when interacting with residents and staff.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Commitment to enforcing safety policies and procedures.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, nursing, or human services, or a combination of education and supervisory experience in a relevant field.
- Current certification or license as required by state, federal, or local regulations.
- First Aid Certification is mandatory.
- Background checks as per government regulations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical requirements for this position include the ability to perform essential functions such as prolonged sitting, standing, and lifting up to 75 pounds as necessary.
