Teaching Opportunity in Kinesiology

St. Cloud State University is seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach in the College of Health and Wellness Professions - Department of Kinesiology.


Job Summary

The Department of Kinesiology is requesting applications for part-time adjunct instructors for selected undergraduate and graduate courses in our Community Health programs.


Key Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in Kinesiology and Community Health
  • Develop and implement research-based, best-practices pedagogy
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and innovation opportunities focused on pedagogical growth
  • Share St. Cloud State's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI)
  • Supervise undergraduates and graduate students

Requirements
  • Masters degree in Public Health, Community Health, Health Promotion, Kinesiology or closely related field
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Commitment to student engagement, mentoring and success
  • Evidence of demonstrating ability to teach and work with persons from culturally diverse backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctorate degree or ABD in Public Health, Health Promotion, Kinesiology, Education Field, or closely related field
  • Previous experience teaching at the university or college level for a minimum of 1-year
  • Active engagement in the professional community of your discipline
  • Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES)
