School-Based Occupational Therapist

Soliant is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in Ontario, CA.

The OT will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse sensory, motor, and cognitive challenges by providing comprehensive therapy services within the school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations to identify sensory, motor, and cognitive impairments that may hinder a student's ability to participate fully in school activities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's unique needs and goals, ensuring their success within the educational environment.
  • Deliver direct therapy services to students, both individually and in small groups, fostering their development and independence.
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other school staff to seamlessly integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom and daily routines, creating a supportive learning atmosphere.
  • Actively participate in IEP meetings, contributing valuable insights to the development and review of student-specific goals and objectives, ensuring a holistic approach to their education.
  • Monitor and document student progress meticulously, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on their individual needs and achievements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress reports, demonstrating professionalism and accountability.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid Occupational Therapist license or certification in California.
  • Prior experience working within a school setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential for effective collaboration with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a positive and supportive learning environment.
