Key Responsibilities

  • Perform various technical procedures, including airway management, ventilator care, and emergency response
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest respiratory care techniques and technologies
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
  • RT or RCP License in the state of employment
  • BLS certification
  • RRT certification through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
Working Conditions
  • General environment: Works in a well-lighted, air-conditioned area with moderate noise levels
  • May be exposed to high noise levels and bright lights
  • May be exposed to limited hazardous substances, body fluids, or infectious organisms
  • May be required to change from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure
  • Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur
Physical Demands
  • Occasionally within shift: Sitting, climbing, twisting at the waist, reaching above the shoulder
  • Frequently within shift: Walking, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling
  • Continuously within shift: Standing
